Description: “I can promise you that women working together - linked, informed and educated - can bring peace and prosperity to this forsaken planet.” Isabel Allende Revelling in the Sesquicentennial Jubilee celebration of Loreto's presence in Lucknow, the beaming faces of the little ones of the Junior Section at St. Agnes’ Loreto Day School displayed immense gratitude for their Founder, Ven. Mary Ward on the occasion of their PT Display held on 23rd and 24th February 2023. The event themed as "Dauntless Daughters" was momentous as it paid a befitting tribute to Mary Ward, a woman beyond compare whose prophetic words "Women in time to come will do much" bear testimony to this stalwart's vision, unwavering faith and conviction to have women at power with men for all nations to grow and flourish. Steering ahead, nurturing the ideals of Mary Ward’s inspirational journey, the resolute and unswerving Agnesians shared the mantle of the event with the students of their twin school, Pushpa Vidyalaya ensuring a collaborative commitment to be propellers for an awakened, emboldened and conscientious society. Ignited with action, refuelled with persistence and striving to be the best, they seemed geared to carve a niche in various fields and resolved to lend their soul into giving their hands to serve and hearts to love. Dr Ritu Trivedi, a leading scientist, an alumna of St. Agnes’ Loreto Day School and a recipient of several awards was the Chief Guest on 23rd February. They astounded all with their drill, “The Agnesian Firefighters.” The promising engineers of class I assured the audience of restructuring the present-day world with concrete bridges of humanity, love and compassion in their drill “Future Creators.” With stars in their eyes and galaxies in their hearts, the curious and adventurous astronauts of class II mesmerized the audience with a few celestial wonders through their drill “Rocket Launchers.” “Team Triumphare,” was the name of the drill presented by the table tennis, badminton and cricket champions of class III. Sprinting with energy, they impacted all with their unyielding and infectious spirit. While presenting their drill, “Fly with me to the Sky,” the focused and dependable pilots of class IV soared high into the sky, promising to stay grounded always and assisting others too to scale heights The drill, aptly titled “The Real Heroes- A Salute,” presented by the students of class V evoked deep patriotic sentiments in the audience with their hearts overflowing with gratitude and pride for our selfless, valiant, undaunted guardians, defenders and warriors in the armed forces. The speed, skill, agility and spirit of the gymnasts from both schools garnered thunderous applause. The participants who won the fun races were awarded medals by the Chief Guests.
