Description: A career counseling session was conducted for students of Classes 11 and 12 at St. Agnes’ Loreto Day School, hosted by KAN International Education. The session was attended by the organization’s CEO, Mr. Khwaja Umam, and led by Ms. Serah, who spoke about higher education opportunities in the United States, focusing on Shoreline Community College, Seattle. Students were informed about the advantages of studying at community colleges, such as cost-effective education, assured admission to U.S. universities after Class 12, no requirement for SAT or language tests, and the option to pursue a double major. The vibrant campus life at Shoreline—including student clubs, sports scholarships, part-time jobs, and its close proximity to Seattle—was also highlighted. The session concluded with a simplified overview of the application process and responses to frequently asked questions about selecting majors and addressing parental concerns.
